Presents demographic data

There are many ways in which to present the demographic data. However, the general population data can be presented in three forms: tables, graphs / charts, and maps.

a. table
Presentation of data in the table is the easiest way. Presentation of the table is usually used for the purpose of comparative analysis. For example, to compare the population density of an area at a particular time period.

b. Graph / chart
The presentation of demographic data will be more easily understood when presented in the form of a graph or chart. Graph or chart can basically be classified into three types, namely a line chart, bar charts, and pie charts. Line diagrams are usually used to see the development of population data. This chart contains data such as data continuous or continuous population from year to year. Bar chart is used to present the data quantity so long rod drawn according to the amount or value of the data population. Pie charts are used to display several types of data and compare the quantity and manufactured in the form of a circle (360 degrees) and the type of data represented according to its value. Population data displayed on the pie chart presented in percentages (%).

c. map
Demographic data or information presented in the form of maps will be more attractive and easier to read because of their locations. The presentation of data or information resident in the form of maps produced maps of the population. Some form of symbols can be used to describe the condition of the population density. For example, pictorial symbols or shading can also be quantitative as well as shades. Selection of the proper symbols become important in the presentation of the data in order to avoid mistakes in the reading.
